It is not good to have any kind of seizure. The only thing that can be said is that having a petit mal seizure is better than having a grand mal seizure.
Sure.
Generally if it is a grand mal seizure (now known as tonic-clonic) where the person has fallen and is in convulsions, you do let the person "seize." By that is meant letting the seizure run its course. Do not try to restrain the person. Make sure the person will not strike or knock anything over that is nearby and never try to place anything in the person's mouth.
well, there are many types of seizures. if someone is having a grand mal, the person will become unconcious and either become stiff, jerk their body, or both. when someone has a simple partial seizure, you sometimes cant tell at all. but, when having a simple seizure, someones arm or leg will twitch or jerk. with a complex partial seizure, the person will become unconcious, and maybe jerk their body.
This sounds like a (grand mal) generalized seizure. No, they would know if they almost hit their head They have no memory of the event.
Grand Mosque Seizure happened on 1979-12-04.
Grand mal epilepsy is a major seizure and petit mal epilepsy is a minor seizure. A grand mal epilepsy seizure is a seizure that causes a person to have a loss of consciousness, loss of muscle coordination and can cause loss of bowel and bladder. Petit mal epilepsy seizures may cause uncontrollable twitching or movement in a smaller part of the body. Both petit mal epilepsy and grand mal epilepsy seizures are caused by too much activity in the brain.
A generalized tonic-clonic (grand-mal) seizure begins with a loud cry before the person having the seizure loses consciousness and falls to the ground. lasts between two and five minutes. the person may be confused.when he regains consciousness.
A Grand Mal seizure.
Seizures are extremely rarely fatal. People are more likely to die from another cause, such as falling from a high place when having a seizure. The most serious kind of seizure is a Grand Mal, and if a seizure itself is going to kill someone, it would have to be an extremely serious Grand Mal seizure. However the vast majority of Grand Mal seizures are not serious enough to cause serious damage, so people would not regard them as being a risk of death.
Yes, by the person falling down and/or thrashing around during the seizure, broken bones are certainly possible.
move evrything out of there way so they can not hurt them self losrn any cloththes they are wearing .NEVER stick a finger or anything in there mouth.tilt the there head to the side to let anything come out of the mouth .DO NOT hold the person down .just let it pass
