It's called a model or a solver. It can be called a solver, and it can be said to be doing what-if analysis.
They can be called a What-if spreadsheet. There is also facility known as the Scenario Manager, which can be used for those situations.

∙ 13y agoI'm not aware there are different generic names for spreadsheets. I think the term emerged with the development of the computer software, though I would defer on this particular. Brand names? Lotus 1-2-3 (under DOS), Quattro Pro (originally a Borland product, I haven't keep up with), and MS Excel. Doubtless some others, lesser known.

You can find the Scenario Manager in Excel 2003 and earlier under the Tools menu (Tools | Scenarios). You will find the Senario Manager in Excel 2007 hiding on the data menu ribbon (Data | What-If Analysis | Scenarios).
Brand names? Lotus 1-2-3 (under DOS), Quattro Pro (originally a Borland product, I haven't keep up with), and MS Excel. Doubtless some others, lesser known.
