Of course, the mother hamster is there, but the male hamster, or any others, should be kept away for up to several weeks. It is likely they would upset the mother or even attack the newborns. Do not handle the babies because if you touch them, they will pick up your scent and the mother may ignore or even eat them (!).
You shouldn't put the male hamster back with the baby hamsters - but the male hamster (dad of the babies) can breed with his daughter/s (seperatley) when they are old enough. But never let sisters and brothers breed because this is inbreeding and that is bad because it can lead to serious health problems in the hamsters.
A hamster is old enough to breed at about 10 - 12 weeks (about 3 months)
I have been breeding the hamsters for a while, the best thing to do is put the male hampster back in straight away, so he can begin his nurturing process. If the male becomes irate, just give him a horse tranquiliser.
yeah you can after the babies disappeared i think. ohh and the mom probably ate them. just saying
yes hamsters require a male to become pregnant.
Yes, she will have baby hamsters, but only if she mates with a male hamster.
Yes.
no! the male will eat the babies even if the male is their father!
At 5 weeks old baby hamsters are able to mate. They also become agressive. You need to keep this in mind when deciding whether to keep the male with them.
Yes, you should keep any males out away from the babies.
No, usually the mother will eat her babies because she takes care of them.
no 2 male hamsters will fight, I have a Male Hamster and so does my Brother, we put them next to each other and my Hamster jumped on top of his. if you out 2 male or female hamsters together, they will surely fight
No, hamsters are territorial, the hamster will kill the mouse.
only MALE HAMSTERS LICK FEMALE HAMSTERS SCENTS "I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I HAVE A MALE HAMSTER & A FEMALE HAMSTER".
It depends on the hamster (:
male hamsters are said to be very friendly but ive had 3 female hamsters and they were very easy to look after .
