when it happens to me
If I had to say something it would be anything that cannot be tested. Existence of god, ghosts, etc. as the basis of the scientific method is to prove a hypothesis through tests and observations. Kinda butchered the explanation but you get what I mean. (I hope.)
A scientific theory is based on a practical work of a scientists who on the basis of these practicals they deliver theories with solid and proved methods but a guess or opinion is an idea of ours which is not based on practicals or just a hypothesis.Scientific theories are often proved true but we can say nothing about a guess
all I can say is use the scientific method, and you'll be fine.
You just did. Just change "the word scientific method..." to "the TERM scientific method". Or you could say "That's not following the scientific method."

Assuming that RE stand for religious Education. I would say that belief is important because some of the things that are being dealt with can simply not be proven. So the only way that the subject can be seriously handled is to start on the basis that the basis is true, and that is belief.
There's no particular scientific word for this. If you want a more erudite sounding word, you can say puncture or explode, or there's nothing wrong with burst.
Faith is a firm belief without logical proof. Thus it is not a 'given'. It is not a theory in the scientific sense, since scientific theories require demonstrable evidence. It is reasonable to say that religious faith is a hypothesis.

Antarctica is not a country, it is a continent dedicated to the scientific study of the health of planet earth. Insofar as 'beliefs' are concerned, one could say that belief in science is supreme.
a belief is 'une croyance' (fem.) in French.
You could say atheism but this is not a complete answer. This is a difficult question to answer because not all religions have the same basis. For example is a religion is based on faith or belief the opposite would be a lack of faith or belief, if a religion is based on reasoning or logic then you argue the opposite is ignorance or lack of logic.
It is hard to understand why some people would believe that there is no imortance in Jesus' resurrection. Whether or not the resurrection really happened, it is important as the very basis for Christian belief.

Any belief is first mental. A religious belief is both mental and by heart. A scientific belief is based on theory and experiment and is based on physics and logic. …The noun "Belief" denotes a mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something. It is a mental condition in which an individual chooses (based on some facts) to accept something as true, based on his knowledges and his cultural level. As it is not related to Physics (discipline), belief is a spiritual phenomena which can be changed at any time. As it also implies on a neurological work, we could say that Belief can be considered a physical work of the brain, as it requires the action of neurotransmitters and neurons.
