CAn salt water pools be harmful to dogs?

I don't believe salt water pools are harmful for dogs. My dogs swim in my swimming pool about everyday during They have had no health problems or injury due to swimming in the salt water pool. I would think a salt water pool would be safer for a dog to swim in than a normal chlorine type pool.

Can you swim in a salt water pool with pink eye?

Is it bad for a puppy to swim in a salt water pool?

No the concentration of salt in a saltwater pool is about equal to the amount of salt found in tears so there is nothing to worry about. as a mater of fact it is probably good for it.

What's the difference between a salt water swimming pool and one that uses chlorine since the salt water breaks down into chlorine anyway?

Salt water does not breakdown into chlorine for a salt water swimming pool unless you have a salt water chlorinator. Other then that many people feel that a salt water pool is a more pleasant feeling environment to swim in. other then that they are both in fact chlorine pools.

What is easy to swim on beach or pool?

It is easier to swim in the sea because of the amount of salt in sea water the density of the water is greater which make you float more easily.

Is it less tiring to swim in a saline pool?

The salt in a saline pool will help you float, so it probably is easier to swim in.

Does water evaporate from a salt pool faster than from a chlorine pool?

If by chlorine pool, you mean a pool filled with fresh water that uses chlorine (or bromine) as a sanitizer, then the question really is: Is a salt water pool faster than a fresh water pool? If by "faster", you mean ability to swim fast, then the answer is the salt water pool. A swimmer floats higher on salt water, therefore there is less water contacting less surface area on the swimmer's body, therefore, there is less resistance and a person could swim faster in a salt water pool. The salinity in a salt water pool is so minimal (maybe 1/6th to 1/12th the salinity of the ocean) the boyancy difference between a fresh water and salt water pool is minimal, if even measurable. However, swim times are measured in such small fractions of a second, the difference would be measurable in say Olympic type events, but not in your local swim club or school pool. Both answers above make good observations. I must say, though, that I disagree with the conclusion of the first. Having more surface area exposed makes for more drag, not less. Submarines are faster than surface ships and porpoises are faster under water than they are on the surface, right?

Would it be easier to learn to swim in a pool or a beach?

Easier to float in salt water (great density) but pools do not have currents or waves to distract you. Go for the pool.

Why is it easyer to swim in the ocean than a pool?

When swimming in the ocean if you swim with the current it is easier. Most importantly the salt water increases your buoyancy creating less resistance.

Salt water pool systems vs chlorine which is better?

A salt water pool is a chlorine pool. The difference is that in a normal fresh water pool you have to add the chlorine as it is required. In the case of the salt water pool salt is added to the pool which is int urn run through a chlorine generator that is installed on the pipe leading from the filter to the pool. The chlorine generator electronically separates chlorine gas out of the salt water which then dissolves into the water automatically maintaining chlorine levels. The adidion of salt to the water makes it more pleasant to swim in and you are spared having to handle and store chlorine at home. but the problem is you are still swimming in Chlorine and now you are also swimming in sodium.

Can you add salt water to a paddling pool or small pool?

Yes. The salt in the pool is the same as the salt on your table. Even if there are still piles of salt on the bottom of the pool, they won't hurt you, but if you have a cut on your foot, they might make it sting.
