...So that they can walk. Two legged cats would have terrible balance and would probably fall over. While 3-legged cats can get around, it's not advisible, as the remaining legs get put under extra stress. And a 1-legged cat would just have to hop everywhere. While being funny, not particularly efficient.

It would depend how you land, and from what height. If it was a fall of ten feet, then the best you could hope for are broken legs. It is completely possible breaking them could kill you, and a fall from anywhere over thirty feet would almost certainly be fatal. oo thanks
