Yes the VAG (VW/Audi) 2.0t FSI is 16 Valve. The older 1.8t it replaced was the Audi signature 5 valve percylinder engine.
8 & 16 Valve models Peugeot recommend replacement at 96,000 miles or 80,000 miles under adverse conditions.
yes
Probs cam belt very rare to see cam chains on anything but motorbikes these days.
The C2 1.6VTS is an INTERFERENCE engine and thus BENT valves are very likely in the event of the Cambelt breaking. Replacement Intervals are therefore recommended at strictly 40,000 Miles/60,000klms. A Qualified Technician should be able to replace the Job in 2.5 hours and would definately replace the BELT, the TENSIONER & the WATERPUMP. Should the CAMBELT have already broken then the Cylinder head will be removed and possibly ALL 16 valves would be replaced (an expensive job).
HI, if it the 16 valve engine is as two cambelts, the traditional serpentine belt that goes round the crank pulley -water pump and one of the camshafts, there is also a small belt that drives the front camshaft.
You change 0.016 into a fraction by placing 16 over 1,000 as in 16/1000.
To change a number to a percent, multiply by 100: 16 x 100 = 1,600%
8 valve engine is freewheeling. very little chance of engine damage. 16 valve is an interference engine. Most likely damage will have occured.
16 & change.
16/100 or 4/25
17/16 = 1 and 1/16
