you have to take that bottom radiator hose off to replace it
To replace a radiator on a 1991 Thunderbird Super Coupe, a person has to drain the old radiator, then unhook all of the hoses. The radiator is bolted to the cross beam in the front and held in by bolts and screws along the sides and bottom. It is a good idea to take a picture of the old radiator and hoses to use as a reference when installing the new one.
On your 1997 Ford Thunderbird : The engine cooling radiator is at the front of the engine compartment . The radiator is connected to the engine by ( 2 ) larger diameter rubber hoses . ( 1 hose at the top of the radiator and 1 hose at the bottom of the radiator on the other end of the radiator ) If you have air conditioning , the air conditioning condensor will be in front of the radiator
Please advise where the radiator cap is located on a 1994 ford thunderbird. I have to add a stop leak product to stop antifreeze leak and I cannot locate the cap.
The serpentine belt goes around all of your pullies in the front of your motor, behind the radiator.
My 1992 Olds Delta 88 has the serpentine belt diagram on the top of the radiator
on my 93 its in front of radiator drvers side
Is there not a serpentine belt diagram at the front of the engine compartment , in front of the radiator ( there is on my Ford EXPLORER )
Coolant may have leaked into an electrical connection while disconnecting the hoses. Check the sensors located on the front of the engine and make sure that all electrical connections are dry.
It has been a awhile and I had the dealership do it. I belive that they had to remove the radiator.
There should be a diagram on the underside of the hood or on the radiator.
The radiator drain plug on a 1992 Ford Thunderbird is located on the bottom, left side of the radiator. It allows for the cooling system to be quickly drained during maintenance.
One on the bottom of the radiator, and one on the oil pan.
