Amasis II died in 526.
Amasis said that the Lord gave him a sign. This is from the Bible.
Exekias is a much better painter than the Amasis painter. This can easily been seen by simply holding up a photo of one work from each. It's also important to note that the Amasis painter is called that because we don't know if it was Amasis who painted these vases however it was Amasis who painted them. Exekias enscribed his name onto his vases which is how we are able to credit them as his. This is what I've learnt so far in Classics 102; Greek art & Mythology
The phorah, Amasis felt bored because he yawned.
Amasis believes that the god Apollo is sending him a sign. He interprets various events, such as the behavior of animals and natural occurrences, as divine omens indicating Apollo's favor or guidance. This belief reflects Amasis's reliance on divine signs to inform his decisions and validate his actions as a ruler. Ultimately, it underscores the importance of religion and the interpretation of omens in his culture.
