When and where was Cesar Chavez?
He was the leader of the UFW ( United farm workers) in the 1960's in central CA. As a person who was a farm worker he knew the problems of people working the crops so he sought to get better pay, breaks , restrooms, water provided, equipment without short handles, and other protections for the workers. One of his big movements was the grape boycott and this was to ask people not to buy table grapes so the growers would meet the demands of the UFW.

As our strike has grown, workers have matured and now know why and how to fight for their rights. As the strike has grown into a movement for justice by the lowest paid workers in America, friends of farm workers have begun to rally in support of LA CAUSA.
