Jack the ripper only killed prostitutes
After an absence of three weeks Jack the Ripper returned and murdered two victims in less than an hour. Elizabeth Stride was the first one and then came Catherine Eddowes. Those were the third's ones. Taking the distance and the time, we have to realize that it was not possible for the ripper to achieve the deed. //It was a 15 minute walk from the scene of Stride's murder to the scene of Eddows' murder. The Ripper had more than enough time to kill both women.//
The murders of Jack The Ripper were sexually motivated, with power being the main attraction for the killer.
Since Jack The Ripper was never caught there is no way to know if he even had a wife. If he did, he probably did not kill her or he would have fallen under suspicion immediately. Usually killers like the Ripper will kill strangers not family members.
She was the first canonical victims killed by Jack the ripper on 31st August 1888.
He murdered women in the Whitechapel area of London. He had five known victims, Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddows and Mary Kelly. All of his known victims were in there 40's ,except Mary Kelly, when they were murdered.
It is presumed 'Jack' used a knife.
Jack the Ripper did not get to America. He continued to kill long after the death of Mary Kelly in November of 1888. He was in London all along.
1888 Most criminal historians agree that Jack The Ripper continued to kill after 1888. In the book by Patricia Cornwell Jack the Ripper Case Closed there is compelling proof that the Ripper crimes contiuned into the early 20th century.

Elizabeth Stride was the exception for Jack The Ripper. She was not mutilated as most of his other victims were for the simple fact that he was interrupted after he cut her throat and before he could began the 'ripping' of the torso. The forensics at the time of the Ripper's crimes was almost nonexistant but the coroner briefly described the murder weapon as a knife at least 6 inches long, very sharp. It is not known if it was double-edged, had a guard or even if it was partially serrated. But he cut her throat so deeply that she was almost decapitated. Unfortunately for Katherine Eddows, the Ripper was not satisfied after cutting Stride's throat. Less than an hour later and less than a mile away the Ripper found Eddows alone, and pounced. He wasn't disturbed with Eddows and her mutilation was so that her loved ones could recognize her only be her clothes.
If you mean Jack the Ripper, he killed his victims with a knife, cutting the throats of women and then cutting out vital organs.
Police found no evidence on Jack The Ripper pertaining to Mary Kelly or any of the other victims either. Jack was never caught.
