I only remember Joseph Stalin by what was written about him in history books. Otherwise, I would not remember him at all. When someone says his name I immediately think of a ranting dictator who wanted his own way and would kill even those closest to him if they did not give him what he demanded. I also remember him with this big smile on his face when his picture was taken and often thought, "How in the world can he smile with so many dead people buried beneath the ground he is walking on. Dead and buried because of him and for what?"
It started in 1934 and that period of time was ruled by a ruthless dictator Josef Stalin He killed million, from peasants or people who would not agree or speak against the government and someone who refused to give their farms or other things to the state, why give the things check(Communism)
Stalin did have a high degree of doubt about the molotov-ribbentrop pact, he even told his men that the pact was just a bid for time, to give the fragile union time to mobilize and industrialize, and to properly arm the red army.

There is no specific time for when Stalin could be considered "in power." Following Lenin's death in 1924, Stalin gradually accumulated power and political control over a period of a few years. However, if the beginning of his reign is thought of as the time he first had complete control, then this was in 1929. His own death in 1953 signaled the end of his years in power. Thus, Stalin was in sole control for 24 years (give or take some months).
