Jefferson City, Missouri's capital, was named to honor Thomas Jefferson. It was designated the state capital in 1821, but for the first 5 years of statehood, the legislature met in St. Charles, on the Missouri River near St. Louis.

Net working capital = Current Assets - Current LiabilitiesA change in the total amount of current assets without a change of the amount in current liabilities will result to a change in the amount of net working capital.
