Southern Jutland or Sønderjylland as it is named in Danish was taken in 1864 by Prussia and was unified with Denmark in 1920 as a part of the Versaille Treaty where the people of Schleswig-Holstein (Slesvig-Holsten) and Southern Jutland (Sønderjylland) voted for Denmark or Germany
