Massachusetts Arms Company: Trade name used by J. Stevens Arms and Tool Company on firearms for Blish, Mizet and Silliman Hardware Company of Atchinson, KS. The name is also attributed to Crescent Firearms, but a single shot with a Chicopee Falls address is almost certainly a Stevens.

would like to know the value of j. Stevens 1913 single action/brake action
About $100.00 based on condition.
The value of a J Stevens single barrel 410 shotgun from 1922 depends on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 125.00 and 150.00 as of 2014.
Whatever someone will pay. Pretty much decorative wall art.
MOST of the single shot shotguns do not have really high values. The Stevens is a good gun- dependable, reliable, well made- but not a lot of collector interest. Depending on condition, a Stevens single may be worth between $50-$175. I keep a few of the singles around as loaner guns to new shooters- they are a very good shotgun for a "first shotgun".
Sometime between 1920 and 1948.
Around $50-$75. email@example.com
patented Dec. 11. 1900 probably a Stevens modelAnswerThe date mentioned in the first response is indeed a J. Stevens patent. Shotgun Markings says that Massachusetts Arms single shotguns by Stevens were made "1920 and later". If that date does not belong with the gun in the original question, the REAL Massachusetts Arms Company made a few shotguns in Chicopee Falls between 1860 and 1893. These would have an unusual tip-up action and look a bit odd when compared to a modern single shot top-break.
Tops out at $100. firstname.lastname@example.org
If it is a typical Stevens double or single barrel there should be a metal lever towards the back of the stock slide it left or right and tilt the barrel down.
The value of a Stevens Savage Mod 220b 16 gauge single shot shotgun is between $200 and $500. The actual value varies greatly based on its overall condition.
The best that I can do,is say that the stevens arms company made the no.35 off-hand shotgun, which was a single shot handgun that was made from 1923-1935.
it is a .410 ga. single barrel shotgunI have a STEVENS model 94H , it is a 12 ga. The one that I have is about 40 years old.
The Gibraltar was made by Sears' subsidiary company, Meriden Fire Arms, from about 1905-1915 and later by J. Stevens Arms.
