In March 2006 I believe or a little before because in GAC shortcuts they showed her writing the song in class and playing it for her friends for the first time and at the school talent show and it said at the top of the screen that that was in March 2006. :)

Can I use the song id lie by Taylor swift as my own if i change the lyrics a bit?

I guess you could.....but most people would recognize the song once they heard it.....you would have to change the tune of the song, the lyrics, and the meaning of the song. Taylor's songs are about HER life. People would see that you just copied her. Why don't you just write your own song. It can have the same tune and stuff but they need to have YOUR words. Hope this helps!
