The bison or buffalo
God.Another Answer:No one invented bison. Bison evolved over millions of years to become what they are now in today's world.
There are five types of bison alive today: Plains bison, Woods bison (all sub-species of the American Bison), Wisent (European bison), Cape Buffalo, and the Asian Water Buffalo (tame/domesticated ones are commonly referred to as Carabao). Plains and Woods bison are found in the United States and Canada. Wisents are found in Europe. Cape buffalo are found in Africa, and Water buffalo are found in Asia.

The American bison was endangered around the time when settlers started traveling west
the 1700s
The American Bison lives in scattered areas of the western USA (though not near the west coast or the Mexican border), in western Canada, and in southeastern Alaska. The European Bison lives in northeastern Europe.
A domesticated animal is one that can become a pet or tamed to live with you. Wild animals like lions can only be tamed, not domesticated.
parrots and budgies
There are several animal species commonly called buffalo, one species of which is domesticated; the rest are wild animals. The young of all these species are referred to as calves (singular: calf). The species of buffalo are:(Asian) water buffalo (Bubalos bubalis) - a member of, or relative of, the genus Bos (cattle), either wild or domesticated, and widely farmed as meat, dairy and draught cattle.(Asian) wild water buffalo (Bubalos amee) - the ancestor of the domestic water buffalo.African buffalo, or Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer) - a distant relative of the water buffalo, a large wild bovine plentiful in Africa and a very hardy animal. It is not considered possible to domesticate the African buffalo.American bison (Bison bison) - a wild bovine found in North America in two subspecies, Bison bison bison and Bison bison athabascae, not usually domesticated, although they can be tamed to some extent and certainly can crossbreed with domestic cattle.European bison or Wisent, pronounced Vi-zunt, (Bison bonasus) - of Asian origin, and smaller than the American bison, it is the heaviest native land animal in Europe. Herds roam forests in some Eastern European countries, reintroduced from captive animals, since the animal was rendered extinct due to over-hunting; the last wild (prior to reintroduction) Wisent was killed in 1927.
No. To clarify the animal you are probably asking about is a bison, not a buffalo, though many people confuse the tow. (a buffalo is a smaller animal with curved horns. The animals that roamed the Alberta plains (and still do in smaller numbers) are bison. Some types of Buffalo are domesticated (in Italy they make cheeses out of water buffalo milk) so it's possible some people have ridden them, but the animal that roamed the plains of Alberta (bison) is not domesticated and is far to dangerous to ride in any kind of event. They do raise bison in Alberta for meat. It is liklely that the myth of people riding bison comes from this name confusion. A bison also has a huge hump at its shoulders which would make riding it very difficult.
They mainly become less firce, also domesticated dogs are debrived from wolves, and other wild canines!
