the history of the Chicago bears is that they where not always called the bears they were origanily called the Chicago staleys. the in the 1920 the nfl had begun and seventeen teams were chosen. the coach for the staley bears was Horge halas and he was going on and off. in the late 1920 Gorge halas came up with name the Chicago bears because they were playing at the cubs stadium and Gorge halas thought that football players were bigger than baseball players.
Why? Money shortage in 1920 because of a recession forced them to move from Decatur, IL: George Halas was hired in 1920 by A. E. Staley of the Staley Manufacturing Co. (whose primary product was cornstarch) to form both a football and a baseball team for the company. In order to find opponents, Halas pushed the football team into the new league that was being formed, the American Professional Football Association. A severe recession in early 1921 forced Staley to lay off the athletes he had hired; he suggested to Halas that the football team should move to Chicago, and said he would provide $5000 to assist in the move if the club would keep the name "Staleys" for one season. Thus, in 1921, Halas's men were called the Chicago Staleys when they became the first official league champion. http://home.comcast.net/~esterneman/sternaman/football.htm
Nowhere; they were founded in Decatur, Illinois and then were renamed the Chicago Bears to be more associated with the big city. That way people would more easily recognize where they were from. They have not moved from a different state, though.
Bears were hunted to extinction in Britain.
You can't move bears to another account.
