They did but they had decided to surrender before the bombs. August 6 1945, US drops the first bomb. Meanwhile Japan was hoping for Russia to help with the procedure but Russia declared war against Japan and invaded Manchuria making a mess of Japan's service men there. Japan did know to surrender to the United States than surrender to Russia.
In the Pacific Japan Surrenders on August 15th 1945. The Treaty was signed on the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, Japan on September 2, 1945. But because of the Kuril Islands dispute the Soviet Union and Japan are technically still at a state of war. Germany Surrendered on May 8th 1945 which is known as V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day)
The war was to gain control over Korea and Manchuria
i think that what might have happened if the japan had ignored the atomic bomb warning was that they wouldn't have that much buildingdestroyed would have just let everything how it was before and surrender right when the united states told the Japanese that they were launching the atomic bombs Japanese said i hate you USA(THEY REALLY DINT SAY THAT BUT YOU GET MY POINT) but they never gave up until September 2,1945 japan surrenders and world war 2 was over!!!
The world needed peace. After the atomic bombs, japan finally surrenders so it put an end to the war.
on may 10,1940
The Second World War took place between 1 September 1939 (Germany invades Poland) - September 2 1945 (Japan surrenders to allies).
Victory in Europe (May 8th 1945) & Victory in Japan (Aug 12th I think.) Japan surrenders officialy on Sept 2 1945.
There was never a "take over." Russia was at war with Japan in 1904 during the Russo-Japanese War (in which Japan consistently defeated Russia).
1945 7th May
Because Japan wantde to take over Asia.
