At the end of World War 2 Korea was liberated and the country was occupied by?

Korea was occupied in the Northern half by the communists (Soviet Union at first) and the Southern Korea area was governed and inhabited by Koreans who managed to get out of North Korea or were natives of South Korea. The North Koreans went across the designated border in 1950 to over take South Korean in the "Korean War". They were driven back by UN forces. The war is not over technically and the Northern Koreans have not been liberated from the communists yet.

Why did the war break out in Korea?

the UN is supposed to enforce/arbitrate world order.........therefore when NORTH KOREAN troops envaded South Korea, the UN (and USA) stepped in to assist the South Korean government to stem the invasion tide from North Korea. The many countries that fought against north Korea were members of the UNA similar reason to the war in Vietnam. The war against communism. The US believed in the domino effect, in that if one country fell influence to communism, the neighboring countries would fall as well. Therefore, South Korea was supported by the US to promote capitalism, whilst North Korea was supported by China to promote communism.

Why do you think the US supported the government of Ngo Dinh Diem?

Did japan consider options to negate the US embargo in World War 2?

Of course, but not very strongly. They were taking over Korea and China, and thought that the US was too peaceful to fight them, and they should take it, or at least Hawaii over, too. They wanted the war to occur.

Who will take over North Korea?

North Korea has the 4th largest army but is next to the 1st largest army, and not in agreements with the International Community. There is 1 very plausible explanation and 4 other possibilities {I perceive). 1. North Korea will lose to.....NORTH KOREA! The most foreseeable and likely solution is that North Korea will fall from the inside out 2. China seizes power along with the international community after being fed up. (or for themselves) 3.. Japan and the International community put their foot down build up and take down, probably after North Korea does something crazy. 4. South Korea will act boldly with the right support. 5..(unlikely) The terrorist will disagree with North Korea and take down the leadership at the meeting then the US or someone with kahunas and the will will take power over.

What was president Truman's goal in World War 2?

What are 3 solutions to north Korea trying to take over the world?

North Korea is not going to take over the world. It's a tiny country with mostly outdated technology. North Korea does, however, possess nuclear weapons, which could cause a great deal of damage if they were ever used. While the country occasionally threatens to use its nuclear weapons, it probably won't anytime soon.

Why did the US get involved in Korea?

When North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950, the USA and most nations in the United Nations saw this invasion as a threat to peace and the possible take over of South Korea by North Korea. In order to keep South Korea a free an independent nation, the USA and the United Nations formed a coalition of armed forces to counter act the North Korean invasion.

What happened in 1950 which caused the Korean War?

North Korean Communists invaded South Korea & tried to take controlThe North Korean Army invaded South Korea in 1950.

What would happen if South Korea invaded North Korea?

First, South Korea alone will not be able to win the war by themselves against the North. There were actually a plan ,or a senario, made by the USA, Bush Govt. First, South Korea will bomb the North and try to engage in a war state with the North Korea. By the time when the nuclear or whatever missile drops back in Seoul, South Korea by the North Korean, they would have not enough left then to attack to defend their country. Simply, later, USA will ally with South Korea and engage in a war too. By that time, North Korea will have no chance of winning the battle. After the war will be over, I probably think UN will take over the country and manage the land. That's about it.
