Chicago Midway Airport was started in December 12, 1927.

Midway Airport, Chicago, has undergone a program of expansion in order to cope with the inordinate rise in air traffic in the region. There is expansion plan that was ordered in 1997. Midway used to be one of the busiest airports in the US before O'Hare opened.
