When did most of the name brand sodas start using high fructose corn syrup because it seems like they all do now even Dr Pepper?

The demand for sweeteners began to outstrip sugar beet supply soon after the end of WWII. Farmers soon began to grow 'feed' corn as a cash crop, rather than as a livestock feed, due to the low appearance requirements, since it was of such a low labour and enrichment level crop. Feed corn is practically a 'seed and forget' crop. Feed corn as sweetener production outstripped that for human consumption some time in the early 60s, and the proportion actually used for animal feed continues to drop. Another confounding factor is the increase of feed corn consumption by ethanol production. Ethanol demand is small now, but will continue to increase.
As a 'short' answer; 'Soon after the end of WWII, and it continues to increase, as the US population and 'sweet tooth' continues to drive increased demand'
