because there hardly isn't any, and they see videos of people flying in space and associate that with the moon.
The budget has been drastically reduced. The US people and government believe that the money could be better spent elsewhere.

There are people who believe that aliens have visited us in space ships; according to these people, objects we see in the distant evening sky might be proof that these space beings exist.
