Thus, the development of board games has provided an opportunity for play that doesn't require strength or athletic skills. Further, board games have brought people together (many of us grew up playing board games with our parents); and these games have also provided a chance to use strategy and logic in order to win-- although some games really are just about having a good time, and being lucky.
