A few of these people still live in the old ways and refuse to accept the "American" way of life. It should also be noted that many of the other tribal people refuse to change their way of life, as the way of life for a 'Native American' is a spiritual following (the trappings that surround you do not change that).

The Americans did not move tot he great plains. They forced Indians onto the great plains so they could have all the other land the Indians owned. The Indians were given no choice and were fed on rations
