December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor
World War II
The United States became involved in the World War II about March 1941.
Pearl Harbor attack
US got in the war because of the bombing in pearl harbor.
6 years errrrrrrrrr from 1941-1945
At the beginning of WW II the US hoped not to get involved. It was only after the US was bombed by Japan, at Pearl Harbor, that the US found that it could not avoid gettting involved.
I don't think the idea of freedom had much to do with the US entry into World War I or World War II. The US declared war on Germany in 1917 after the sinking of the Lusitania, where a number of US citizens died. The US entered World War II after the Japanese attack on the military bases at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and the German and Italian governments declared war on the US the next day.
Shortly after World War II ended in 1945, the Korean War began in 1950. The war lasted until 1953, and involved US troops. The reason the US was involved was to stop the spread of communism from taking over South Korea.
The Battle of Midway and the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki led to the end of World War II.
To name a few: American Civil War American Revolutionary War War of 1812 Mexican-American War Spanish-American War World War I World War II Vietnam Gulf War War on Terrorism
The u.s. DID get involved.
the U.S needed money for better/advanced war equipment so they sold equipment to countries that weren't involved in World War II
