For a specific Individual contact the Department of Defense. For a generic WW2 veteran try your local VFW.
If your registered for the draft it'll show on your draft status paper. If your discharged it'll show on your DD-214. If you join AMVETS or the VFW they'll get it for you. AMVETS was started by WW2 Vets in 1944. VFW was started by Spanish-American War Vet of 1898, in 1899. AMERICAN LEGION was started by WW1 vets in 1919. VVA was started by Vietnam Vets in 1979.
Because the American Legion can change its rules. Anybody that served in combat is eligable for the American Legion or VFW.

No one individual can be credited for founding the VFW. The first VFW began in Denver, Colorado in 1899 by members of the first Colorado volunteers.

What years of service are required for VFW membership
If the "By-Laws" of the VFW & Am Legion don't forbid it, probably could.
Go online, and see if they have a website. Also try the VFW or American Legion, and see if they have an address for a members association.
There is no such numeral.
Sometime around 2002. I don't know the specific date though. It was at the VFW Hall in Ewing New Jersey in October 2001.
