The Frank family moved to the Netherlands in 1933, cause Hitler got more power in Germany, they lived a normal life in Amsterdam till 10 May 1940, the date that Germany invaded The Netherlands. They went into hiding in the 'achterhuis', cause they were afraid to be executed. All their efforts, unfortunately, seemed for nothing when they were discovered on the 4th of August 1944.
