From what i can remember, The band first started when alex moved from private school to Jack and the others school.
Alex and Jack then started a band with an unown bassist.
Rian got included when him and jack had a class toghether and jack asked him if he liked face2face.
Those 3 started holding auditions for a new bassist cos the one they had didnt turn up for pracice when Zack arrived on a skate board doing all kinds of tricks and rian said he was in the band whether he can play bass or not.
That's the best i can remember but if you want more watch the first ten minutes or so of the DVD
