we as a society never did think it was bad after all patriotism and caring about the standard of life in your country is socialism. having to pay taxes to look after roads ans services is socialism. the problem is that the socialism that wasconsidered bad was the govt money that went the way of lower and middle class people rather then into the coffers of the wealthy politicians and their friends. Now that they have buggered up the worlds economy again they stand hat in hand in front of the national treasuries saying please keep is wealthy so that we can keep throwing scraps your way.
