You got approved, not the two kids. If they get something because of your disability, then I would expect that to go back the 14 months also. If you have to apply now for them to get benefits since you are approved it would start from the date you apply.

No. You can apply, but what is the disability? It would get denied if you are not mentally or physically disabled.
