Science and Faith collide when science explains that things in creation came about by means other than God created them and brought them into existence. An example is "God said let us create man in our own image" where science says we evolved from Apes. Faith is not a scientific method or formula because it is based on what cannot be seen, yet. Science says look what I found and how I came up with how this came to be by what I see and have learned about it.
_______
CRASH!
[No serious science teaches that we evolved from Apes. To intelligently refute a theory, there is no substitute for adequate understanding as a basic prerequisite.] Science and faith collide when either of two things happens.
In short, science and faith are not enemies. Go a little deeper. Push. Science is as much about the wonder of not knowing as it is about the joys of discovery. From a scientific point of view, there is probably nothing that is completely beyond question. People of faith, get down to it and tackle the meaty subject of faith. What is it? Where does it bring you? How do you know that you have it? Can you force someone to have it who hasn't been given it by God? Can anyone force God to give faith to an individual when God has opted not to?
Science had faith in God.

Where science begins. Or when faith ends.
Science + Faith
Science can not be used to prove or disprove any religious faith. Science is based on factual observations and deductions drawn from these observations, the veracity of which are testable by experiment: Religion is a leap of faith. Any religion that says or implies that it is scientifically proved is lying to you and as such not worthy of your faith/belief.
