Mass(m) is the product of the gravitational pull, which is constant (g), of the planet or the largest heavenly body nearest to the object to be weighed and it's weight(w). Hence, gravitational constant(g) is the ratio between the MASS of an object and the Weight of the object. While the mass of an object is constant anywhere in the universe, the weight depends on the value of the gravitational constant. Thus, a 1 lb-mass of an object in earth will have the same mass of 1 lb-mass in the moon though they will weigh differently.

Mass is measured in kilograms, hectograms , decagrams , grams , decigrams ,centigrams , milligrams.
