It must be changed every 100,000 miles. WARNING: This is an interference engine and as such if the belt breaks you will have engine damage. Also replace the water pump at the same time the belt is replaced as it is driven by the cam belt. This will save you money as the pump will not last 200,000 miles.
On a 2005 Saturn Vue : The 2.2 liter four cylinder engine has a timing CHAIN , and the 3.5 liter V6 engine has a timing BELT
It must have a TIMING CHAIN because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) doesn't list a timing belt for the 2.2 liter - 4 cylinder engine - in a 2006 Saturn Ion
( no ) The 1.9 liter four cylinder engine in a 1999 Saturn S series has a timing CHAIN
no.... The Saturn Sc2 (in all years of production) has a timing chain......much better in my opinion.
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc . ) the 3.5 liter V6 engine in a 2007 Saturn Vue has a timing BELT
Yes, it uses an internal timing "CHAIN", not a belt. The timing chain should last until the engine needs to be rebuilt.
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. ) the 3.0 liter - V6 engine in a 2003 Saturn Vue has a timing BELT
In a 2007 Saturn VUE : The 2.2 liter four cylinder has a timing CHAIN The 3.5 liter V6 has a timing BELT
The 3.8 liter V6 engine has a timing CHAIN
