The Sunday after your period starts is the best bet. This could be the next day, same day, or almost a week later. Sunday start is typically described in your patient information packet. Also, because your body has been off for a few months, be sure to use a backup method for the first 2 or 3 months, until your body readjusts to being back on the pill.

∙ 11y agoyes, you should continue taking your Birth Control pill as scheduled regardless of the presence or absence of bleeding. If you missed pills or have pregnancy symptoms, take a pregnancy test. If the lack of bleeding recurs and you find it troublesome, talk with your health care provider about a possible prescription change.
