If by this you mean to ask when does an embryo created from the fertilisation of human egg with human sperm become human then the answer is from the moment of fertilisation. This is the beginning of a new living organism. As such it must be of a species and given its origins it is clearly human.

There are those who would claim that the humanity of the embryo/foetus is only acquired at some later stage. This is a curious position and flies in the face of the science. Those that take it need to explain what species the embryo is before that stage.

Those who study human development consider human life to start at conception, the moment of fertalization or the moment the sperm and egg cell meet. There are three gestational periods in prenatal development.

The first is known as the Germinal period. Upon conception the new cell is called a zygote. This phase lasts for two weeks. Next is the Embryonic period. The zygote is know called an embryo during this phase which last from the 2nd to 8th week. It is during the last period that the growing child is called a fetus. The Fetal period lasts from 9 weeks to birth. Upon birth the baby is called a neonate for the first 28 days of life.
