A poodle needs to go the groomer at least once a month.
To be totally honest your best bet is the groomer. A Poodle with hard matting is very very hard to get out yourself!
When can I take to the groomer a female that had puppies
What do you mean are you looking for a groomer because if you are here you go... http://adamsanimalcare.webs.com
If you have just gotten a dog, and you’re not familiar with how to handle dog grooming, you need to hire a dog groomer. Dog grooming is something that not every dog groomer does a good job of. Some dog groomers are just a lot better at it than others. Picking the right groomer can take some time, but it is something that must be done for the sake of your pet. There are many things you need to ponder when you must pick a perfect dog groomer for your pet. The most important thing to ask the dog groomer is how they treat the dogs they groom. Do they treat the dogs kindly when they are completing the dog grooming? You should stay with your dog during grooming to make sure the groomer treats him or her with the utmost care. If you have a very temperamental dog, you need to find a dog grooming place who can handle him or her. Not all dogs can be perfectly behaved when it comes down to grooming time, but there are good dog grooming facilities out there that will be able to handle your pet. One question that needs to be asked when you are talking to a dog groomer is if they groom all breeds of dogs. If you have a poodle, and the dog groomer only grooms English bulldogs, then you will not want to take your poodle to that groomer. Does the groomer you’re thinking about picking have any before and after pictures of the dogs that they have groomed before? It is helpful to view the pictures to see if the grooming facility actually does do a spectacular job of grooming pets. If you tend to work many hours per week, it may very well be helpful to pick a groomer who can groom your dog at your home. This will save you the time of having to take your dog to the groomer. Any modern dog groomer should be able to groom your dog in your home without any difficulties. You just need to find a facility that offers this grooming location option.
Yes, it is generally safe to go to a independent groomer. You should also inspect the groomer's tools and see how they are with your animal.
Wisconsin does not require a groomer to be licensed. Illinois does. New York does not require license.

*It depends on how you want your poodle groomed. If you want them to look like the show dogs, then yes, their ears should be groomed. If you just want them as a pet and easy to care for you can have the groomer shape them anyway you want them. I own a Bichon Frize and they have very thick tight curly white hair close to their body. They are actually suppose to have a powder puff face, but my husband and I go camping and do a lot of things with our dog, so I have my groomer sheer her like a sheep (Bichons can get very hot with their coat) and leave her ears on the longer side instead of too short. If you aren't happy with the way your groomer is grooming your poodle then get a picture and show her and tell her that's how you want you dog groomed.
nothing really all they need is an online corse
Get your groomer to scissor the face or use a different blade ie substitute the usual #15 for #10.
No, This so called 'mating' is caused by you not brushing your dogs fur regularly I would suggest that you brush your dog 2-3 times a day especially if it is long furred and has curly fur (both of which a poodle has)
No, you do not need additional schooling. There are grooming schools, or you can be taught by a groomer, you can also teach yourself - although this can take forever!!! You do not, however need formal schooling to be a groomer for dogs.
