Mouse when adult then he never suck his mothers milk. You cannot simply give these mice regular milk and expect them to live. Some animals digestive tracks are not strong enough to digest milk. You will most likely need to buy kitten formula and an eyedropper but if you can find something else that works better than feel free to feed the mice whatever you find.
If you find mice that have hair on them you can try to give them something to eat to see if they are still feeding on the mother. You can give them hamster food, cheese, lettuce or other veggies.
In most mouse studies it is assumed by postnatal day 21 that mice can be weaned with out any detriment to their development. However if pups are kept with the Mother they may continue to nurse for a few days after that (but not past postnatal day 28 which is puberty). It is also important to note that as the litter ages the amount of milk being produced by the mother deceases, and most mice have already begun eating solid food by postnatal day 14..
They should be removed from mother on Day 21 - exactly! The babies should also be separated male and female as they can reproduce at that age as well!
