The motor chokes at full throttle because either the exhaust valves are bad and cause the motor to loose compression at full throttle or the carb has an air leak.
Air leak in upper manifold, use a double gasket, problem solved! throttle cable stuck,
Assuming this is the 4.3 engine, the throttle body would be found on top center of the engine. The air filter assembly would have to be removed to get a full view of the throttle body.
REMOVALDisconnect the negative battery cable.Loosen the clamp for the air duct at the throttle body.Remove the mounting bolt and nut for the air cleaner box.Pull the air cleaner box and throttle body up to access the throttle position sensor.Remove the throttle position sensor.INSTALLATIONInstall the throttle positionLocate the air cleaner box and throttle body and tighten the mounting bolt and nut.Install the air duet hose and tighten the clamp.Connect the negative battery cable.
The Throttle body is the part of the intake that the air cleaner connects to to draw air into the engine. also the throttle cables are attached to it.
put a straight through exhaust on it, clean the pipes/engine, make sure there is no limiter on the throttle so u can use the full thing. throttle cable needs to be tight. change air intake to one that lets in more air.
Clean and adjust the carburetor. Also clean the air filter.
If your Polaris ATV only runs at full throttle, it may indicate a fuel delivery issue, such as a clogged fuel filter or a malfunctioning fuel pump. Another possibility could be a problem with the carburetor or fuel injection system, where improper air-fuel mixture affects engine performance. Additionally, issues with the throttle cable or sensors could cause the engine to respond only at full throttle. It's best to have a qualified technician diagnose the problem for a proper fix.
It is located on the bottom of the throttle body. You can find the throttle body by following the two big air pipes from the air filter box, they end at the throttle body. To access the throttle position censor you must remove the throttle body.
The throttle body is where the air goes into the engine. Find the air filter, then follow the plastic duct over to the throttle body. It is round and made of metal.
The throttle body is on the drivers side of the engine on top of the intake manifold. if you follow the air intake tube from the air cleaner it will lead you right to the throttle body.
