When exercising, working hard in heat, getting too much sun (can cause heat exhaustion and dehydration) or when you are running a fever from a virus or cold. Anything over 102 degrees F is a time to see your doctor.

it depends how high your body temperature is if its very high you will become very ill

physiological activities cease, primarily because molecules are destroyed or become nonfunctional

If you mean too high for a normal body temperature - then yes ! Normal body temp is 37oC

100-106. 106 degree temperature can kill you.

when body temperature becomes too high the proteins in the body can ''denature'' or lose their shape, becoming functionless

When a person's body temperature is too low they can become hypothermic or enter into a state of hypothermic shock if their temperature stays too low for an extended period of time.

Enzymes require certain temperatures to function. They become denatured if the temperature is too high or too low. If an enzyme is denatured, it can no longer function. Therefore, if your body temperature is too low, the enzymes will become denatured and cease to function. The process of denaturation is on a continuum, however. If the temperature is slightly lower than normal, but not too low, the enzymes will still function, but at a lower rate.

If that is your core temperature then it means you have hyporthermia (or that you are not using the thermometer properly). not to be confused with hyperthermia, which is when the body temperature is too high.

Body temperature is key. If your temperature is too high, your organs can be cooked into dysfunction. If it is too low, the chemical processes that we rely on to live can be interfered with. Humans are fragile.

no no no. your normal body temperature is 98.9F. anything over that is too warm.

Usually when there is a temperature increase enzymes become more active because you are adding energy to a system. If the temperature rises too high, however, these enzymes will denature.

When your body temperature reaches 103 or more, then it is too high. This indicates that there is a fever and a person should seek medical attention, especially if it has been more than three days.

I personally think 104 is when it starts to get out of hand.

Hyperpyrexia is an excessive and unusual elevation of set body temperature greater than or equal to 41.1 °C (106 °F), or extremely high fever. Such a high temperature is considered a medical emergency. It differs from hyperthermia in that in hyperthermia the body temperature is too high above the set point, whereas in hyperpyrexia the body's temperature regulation mechanism sets the normal body temperature too high. It is very often fatal.A person is in danger of dying if he or she has a body temperature of 106 degrees Fahrenheit or greater.

Yes, it is too high. The healthy temperature is 36-37 degrees c.

skin provides a control mechanism to maintain a homeostasis temperature of the whole body. when body temperature too low the body generates a body shaking mechanical force to provide energy to the body. when body temperature too high, the sweat gland releases energy as heat form to reduce body temperature.

103 It gets dangerous when your body temperature gets too high and denature the enzymes in your body.

hyper. Like in hyperthermia (too high body temperature) or hyperglycemia (too high blood sugar).

Enzymes work best at temperatures around body temperature. If the temperature is too low, there is too little kinetic energy available for it, but if it is too high, the enzyme will be denatured, and will therefore also work slower. Yes this is regarded as a fever. Around the same as having a temperature of 100

How is body temperature corrected to the set point value (37 C) if it is too high or too low

Body temperature is important because it keeps our bodies working and functioning properly. Without it, we would all die. If your body temperature falls too low then respiration happens too slowly and you die. If your body temperature goes too high then the enzymes in your blood denature so they can't catalyze respiration and other reactions that go on around your body.

The testicles have to be a certain temperature to produce sperm. If they become too cold they will tighten towards the body. If they become too hot, they will sag down away from the body.

well the average body temperature is 98.6 but some people have a high body temp so roughly 99 or higher.
