Do a compression test on engine
No compression could be various things from your piston to your crank start with your piston by doing a compression test

Do a compression test on engine
The same as with an automobile engine. Remove 1 plug and insert compression tester (available at all automore parts stores)and follow the compression testors instructions. When doing a compression test, the throttle must be wide open for free passage of air into the engine. If the bike has CV carbs, the slides are opened by vacuum, so you will need to go into the carb with a stick or something, and lift the slide open while doing the check.
An engine compression test on a 99 Grand Prix GTP can cost $180
pretty much only way to stop the fuel, is if you have an electric fuel pump, you can remove fuel pump fuse.but you really dont need to do this for a compression test. in performing a compression test, you need to remove spark plugs to use compression gage. before you start, remove the lead that goes from distributor to coil, and you will not have spark at the plugs you can also use a remote stater switch connected to starter motor and leave ignition turned off. the engine will still turn but no ignition will be available to start engine
Have a compression test run on the engine.
Just did compression test on mine and the normal seems to be 160 -180
