Try to locate the ticking noise. Is it the engine? Is it ticking when you are driving? When you are sitting still? It could be as simple as a stone stuck in yoru tire, everytime it hits the road it ticks. it could be a lifter in the engine. Try to be more specific as to where and when the ticking happens.
nail in tire, or rock
Sounds to me like HOT exhaust cooling down.
If you are driving the vehicle while ticking it could be that the engine mount is in poor condition.

My left wheel ticking while driving was causes by brake pads that did not fit. As explained poor fit.
Its possible that this ticking sound is caused from driving fast for prolong periods. Its possible that its not the engine that is making the sound, but the exhaust system somewhere. I hear a ticking sound if I drive over 140KMh for long periods. It always stops once the car cools. I hopes this helps.
