To deliver nutriants to the blood stream
it goes throuhg the windpipe and into the airways. then it goes into the lungs and out with alveoli and that passes it through the blood vessels and into the blood stream which is pumped around the body by the heart.
The water in the stream will also rise.
It goes through your digestive system - Stomach breaks it down, small intestine puts it into your blood stream once it is broken down enough. More stuff also :)
absorption
digest their food I am guessing they do it the same as any other animal. Food as it passes through their digestive system is broken down by acid and enzymes the nutrients go into the blood stream and the waste products excreted.
Through millions of microscopic villosity placed on the walls of the small intestine.
