Doesn't always mean the guy is interested in you, perhaps the guy likes the conversations you two have, perhaps he does like you, or perhaps you're not the only one he's talking to.

I would say so actually, they seem very easy to use actually because you can learn about the person before even talking to them. If they have the same interests as you than you can always give them a chat and maybe become friends, or even more than friends.

For some reason it seems he cares what "the guys" think and wants to seem manly however that makes him manly but guys say things to make them seem cool and whether we disagree with it or not they still do it. I wouldn't read too much into it nor should you let it bother you - its just childish behaviour until they are able to find guys they can be themselves around and truthful - its not always this way.
