I am not sure I understand your question. If you are asking whether he was ever in a leadership position, the answer is yes. To cite one example, when he was in Law School, Barack Obama was chosen as the editor the prestigious Harvard Law Review. But if you are asking whether he held leadership positions in his professional life (like, did he run a business or own a company), the answer is no. He was a state senator in Illinois for three terms and served on a number of committees; however, he was not in the senate long enough to become its leader. Similarly, he was a law professor for twelve years, and developed several popular courses; but he did not become the leader of the university where he taught, nor did any of the other professors there.
In your opinion what would you say? I think Obama is a successful leader. Democrats like Obama, but Republicans don't. Do you think Barack Obama is a successful leader? If you do, or don't write yes or no in the numbers below: 1. Yes 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. *If the numbers run out, please add more and don't delete this message, or anyone else's answer ~ To add your answer press "improve answer"

I have not read all of Hamilton's papers and he has been dead for many many years, so if he could speak , he might find something else in Obama that he agrees with.
