When i turn right my steering gets heavy and i find it hard to turn why does this happen?

Hi You don't state what kind of car it is, my guess is that it is a vauxhall corsa B ? If so the Power Steering is electric on the later models, I have seen this problem a few times before and replacement fixed it. The only problem is you need a small mortgage to buy one.
