Adolf Hitler was a very patriotic man (he loved his country). After ww1 the treaty of Versailles was signed by the powers of the world and reduced Germany's army/forces. Hitler was not happy (this was way after ww1), he became dictator after the predecessor died, he made an alliance with Austria making the third Reich and demilitarized the Rhineland. He then invaded Poland with war declarations from Britain and France. He invaded so Britain and France went to war. Basically, Adolf Hitler wanted to rule the world and make a Superior race. =]
