Holy Water is used at initiation in the church in Baptism. The most common use is that of when the faithful enter the church and exit at which point it is proper to make a full sign of the cross. It can also be sprinkled upon the faithful as part of a blessing. Beyond this, the number of uses is probably in the thousands - each diocese and even each parish priest can use it for any number of reasons to symbolize a blessing or cleansing.

How do Catholics use water in their worship?

Holy water is also used to bless objects, people and is used in exorcisms. Water that is used for baptisms is consecrated water, having had holy chrism added to it at Easter. Baptismal water is usually stored in a baptistry or a baptismal font. Catholics also have Easter water, this is water that is blessed at Easter but does not have holy chrism added to it. It is used in private devotions by the faithful. In many Church approved Catholic pilgrimage sites there are streams and brooks that are considered to contain miraculous powers of healing. Catholics often take this water and either drink it or apply it to injuries in the hope of cures or graces. ---- Catholics do not worship water. They do use water for their services and rituals, though. They call it 'Holy Water', which usually comes from the water faucet in the sacristy although absolutely any clean water can be used. A priest says a prayer of blessing over the water, either while its in a container or in the 'Holy Water Font' and then the water is considered 'holy'. Worshipers dip their fingers into the 'Holy Water Font' before making the Sign of the Cross when entering or leaving a Church.

What is the holiest location in the world of Christianity?

It's just Catholic, not Roman Catholic. Roman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the official Catholic Church. Catholics usually use the term "Holy Places" to refer to the places in Palestine where Christians make pilgrimages, such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Via Dolorosa, Calvary, etc. Additionally, there is the seat of the Church in Rome, but that is not a holy place per se.

What do they use to put holy water in?

Holy water is usually kept in the Baptismal font, also, there is usually a large urn in most Catholic Churches to hold holy water for the people who want some. They put it in holy water bottles that they bring in with them. The Church has small fonts (small dishes attached to the wall) by each door for people to bless themselves as they come into the Church. For the beginning of Mass, or any other time that the priest wishes to bless everyone with holy water, he will have a handled bucket into which he puts the aspergill (looks like a hollow microphone) that he uses to sprinkle the people with holy water.
