Etowah High School in Woodstock, GA had their homecoming parade this past Tuesday, October 13 at 6:00p.m.
It is this coming week (week of 10/12/09). The game is Friday, October 16 and the dance is Saturday, October 17.

In 1911, the chancelor of the University of Missouri invited all Alumni to "come home" for a rivalry game against KU. A parade was planned as well as several Alumni inspired activities. The University of Illinois had the first homecoming in 1910, a year before Missouri copied it.
If you're asking if marcing bands or singing groups through schools get paid, they don't. In fact you have to pay them in order to perform in the parade.
