the battle between them is still pending..... we don't know if sasuke will atack konoha or not.... but I'm sure if he does atack... then that would be the final fight between naruto and sasuke...becoz one of them would die.....for sure.........
Alot what you are saying is correct but according to madara they are destined to battle one last time and they are both are going to die because they are the most powerful characters on the show anyway but they are both going to die

Though they do battle each other in the Valley of End and Sasuke wins that one. This is just my opinion but I think that Naruto and Sasuke will both end up killing each other then Sakura commits suicide, or Naruto defeats Madara Uchiha and Sasuke comes back to the village realising what he has done.
